What is the Best Forex Trading App in Nigeria?

Please can anyone suggest the best forex trading app that works on Android & Apple Phones? Most forex trading apps I have seen in Nigeria lack sophistication or are simply unaffordable in terms of minimum deposit of the broker.

The Best Forex Trading App in Nigeria is The Exness Trade App for Android & iOS Phones. The Exness app is also affordable with a $10 or N17,500 minimum deposit to open a trading account on the app.

My Favorite Features of The Exness Trade App:

1. Inbuilt TradingView Terminal

2. Inbuilt MT5 Terminal

3. Forex Calculators for Profit, Risk, Lot Size, Pip Value etc.

4. Custom Order Entry

5. Push Notifications

6. Two factor Authentication

7. Line Drawing Tools

8. Fibonnacci Tools

I also want to add that forex trading is best carried out on a computer for two reasons:

1. The computer has a bigger screen so you can analyze charts with more precision and speed

2. Desktop trading applications are more advanced and pack more features than mobile trading apps

That being said, a mobile app is useful for those times when you will be away from your computer maybe in the toilet, kitchen, etc. Mobile apps help you monitor the ongoing trades you started on the computer.

For a beginner you should learn forex trading on a desktop or laptop computer, then use the mobile app as a means of monitoring ongoing trades when you are away from your laptop.

I think the answer to this question will depend on your experience level. In my opinion, a beginner has no business with an overly sophisticated forex trading app whose functions he/she does not understand.

I think beginners should start with simple forex trading apps like XM Trading Point App, HFM App, & Octafx Trading App.

Then expert traders can now go for the more complex trading apps like AvaTradeGO App, Exness trade App, etc.

Like Yokoyi said, a mobile forex trading app is not meant to replace desktop trading apps. The real trading happens on the desktop apps & the mobile apps are just a support for checking ongoing trades, account management & that sort of thing.

Personally, I used the XM Trading App when i was starting out & it did it for me. It was simple to use and didn't scare me with overly complex functions. Beginners should always keep it simple and avoid the fancy forex apps.

The question he asked didn't specify if the forex app is to be used by beginners or experts.

However, I used HFM app but didn't like it because it always initialized slowly. Sometimes the HFM app will start searching for updates before it lets you login thus wasting your time. The HFM app would sometimes refuse to log me in due to whatever reason.

Because of this, I switched to Exness app and had a better experience with stability and speedy initializing & startup.

I've also used the Octafx app and it is very easy to understand and most importantly is very stable with no loading delays.

Before FXTM was banned in Nigeria, I also used their app and it was stable, and fast but lacked proper tools.

There is no best trading app, look for an app that has the lowest spreads for instruments you want to trade.

For example, overall Td365/TradeNation (not a recommendation, do your own research) have really low fixed spreads for most instruments. 0.3 on EURUSD, 0.9 points on DAX, 0.3 on US500, 1.5 on US30.

But their Cloudtrade platform is not really that great, for charting honestly is bad. I only use the broker's web app for placing orders, nothing else. For charting I use Tradingview.

So, my suggestion is, just because you like a broker's trading app, don't choose it. Consider the cost you will pay to use it.

Honestly, my advice is, don't use Exness app for trading anything other than major forex pairs. For forex, they are okay (only okay, not great), but if you are trading CFDs on indices & commodities, they are actually really expensive to trade with.

Plus their order execution is really bad on fast moving markets, you will get like a million requotes on your market orders.

I agree with @Karbin here, how a forex app looks like should not be a criteria for trading with a broker. You could go broke using a fancy app!

Only use a brokers app if they also charge low fees.

I use the Fxpro Direct Trading App and it does everything I want. I like the app stability, advanced features and visuals. But most importantly FxPro is a top-tier broker with modest spreads (not the lowest but very transparent)

Tickmill has a good mobile app but it only works with their raw spread account. I use the app frequently and it allows me to do technical analysis; drawing trend lines, drawing shapes, highlighting areas etc. and it saves everything so that when I come back later, I can continue from where I stopped.

There are so many good forex mobile apps out there but some especially well designed ones I have seen are from FxPro, AvaTrade and Exness. If you are a beginner asking this question, I think you should consider learning how to trade on a laptop instead. The screen on a laptop is bigger and laptops are also mobile/lightweight. Note that forex mobile apps dont have as advanced capability as desktop terminals.

Either TradingView or cTrader are the best forex trading apps in Nigeria. Dont waste your time with any other ones.
