Find a trading mentor online and let them coach you one on one, you dont necessarily have to attend a physical academy to learn forex.

A friend of mine attended Fire Pips Axademy in Lagos and she said it was good but they taught just the basics then fed students with signals to trade with. Dont expect to become profitable just because you attended a forex academy, you need to trade consistently for a while and learn from your mistakes to become profitable. I also dont buy the idea of a forex academy giving signals to students, they should teach the students the secrets and let them trade for themselves.

Like you pointed out, most of these so called forex academies in Lagos only charge you high fees to teach you basics that you can learn for free online. The best way to learn forex trading in Nigeria is to join a community of like-minded traders and trade with them in a group, kind of like social trading.

I will advise you don’t really focus on a physical academy, find someone that has a proven track record in the industry and learn from him or her. If he or she can meet with you physically, that’s a great idea.
