anyone benefitted from tiger brokers promotion & bonuses? Replied 10 months ago - I got some rewards such as commission-free trading after I opened a Cash Boost Account (CBA). With the CBA you get a 20,000 SGD credit limit which you can use to buy US, HK & SG shares even without using your own money. However, you must pay in mthe money into your account or sell off the shares before the clearing settlement period expires. I was able to buy some shares and when I noticed the price had gone up, I sold them before the settlement period expired so I didnt use any of my money.

is tiger brokers fees high, what is the total? Replied 10 months ago - To buy United States shares at tiger brokers, I paid from 0.1 USD per share as tiger broker fees. To sell the U.S. shares I paid higher from 0.11 USD per share in tiger broker fees. To buy less than one fractional U.S. share I paid from 1.023 USD per share and to sell less than 1 fractional share I paid around 1.033 USD per share. A majority of the fees go to tiger brokers as commission and platform usage fees, while the remainder goes to the United States government.

Replied 10 months ago - Tiger brokers has 1:4 leverage so with 1 SGD you can open a trade worth 4 SGD but you need to open a margin account with them to do this. This margin account can be opened in SGD, USD or HKD account currency so you avoid paying fees for currency conversion.

what is the difference between stock cfd and stock? Replied 10 months ago - Stock CFDs do not give you ownership of the stock; they are only a over-the-counter contract between you and the CFD broker that allow you bet on whether the price of the stock will rise or fall. if your bet is correct the CFD broker pays you money and vice versa. Holding a stock CFD overnight will attract a fee because it is not yours. However, when you buy ordinary stocks, they are delivered to your demat account and you take ownership of them. You also get voting rights on the company whose stocks you bought. Holding a stock overnight will not attract any fee because it is yours. Stock CFDs are mostly used by traders while stocks are bought by investors who hope to hold it for a long time. When you buy a real stock you get paid dividend whenever the company is doing so but for Stock CFDs you only get paid a dividend if you opened a buy trade for a Stock CFD. When it comes to cost, it is cheaper to trade Stock CFDs than to buy real stock because buying real stocks entails pying fees to the stock exchange, custodians etc.

what are the advantages of apex prop firm for Canadians? Replied 10 months ago - I tried some other prop firms before coming to apex and what I like about them is that there is no drawdown limit and once you achieve th profit target they specified for your plan, you automatically become funded on your first try (they call it one-step evaluation).

when does the forex market open in Canada? Replied 10 months ago - The Asian forex session starts at around 4pm Canadian time and ends around 2am in the morning. The London forex session starts from 2am and ends at 12 pm Canadian time The New York forex session starts from 1pm till 5pm Canadian time Note that the forex market closes on weekends and major publich holidays that affect banks (such as christmas & new year)

To use the demo account, register/login to TradingView, select an instrument, view on super-charts, then open the trade panel at the bottom and click on paper trading to use the demo account.

anyone notice FxPro leverage is now 1 : unlimited? Replied 10 months ago - Yes, I noticed the upgrade to unlimited leverage too. I have been trading with FxPro for one year now and although high leverage is risky, I still welcome the development because it gives users a choice especially professional traders who can manage high leverage risks. Note that trading accounts that had been opened earlier, are still going to be restricted to the old leverage so to access the unlimited leverage, you need to open a new trading account.

Replied 10 months ago - I don't know of any free prop firms because offering free services goes against the business model of prop firms, who make money from challenge/evaluation fees as well as copying your trades. However, prop firms like FTMO offer free trial accounts where you experiment with their services.

what is minimum trading days in prop firm Replied 10 months ago - The minimum trading days is simply the least amount of days within which you can complete the challenge. So, if your prop firms minimum trading days is 4 and you complete the challenge in 3 days, you have breached the rules. You must complete the challenge in 4 days or more. Minimum trading days was put in place by most prop firms to prevent you from completing the challenge in one day. They want to be able to eliminate the chances that you just got lucky on one day and they also want to be able to study how you manage risk on different days.

what is consistency rule in prop firm? Replied 10 months ago - By checking how consistent your profits/losses are the prop firm aims to see if you have a strategy you are following or if you keep trying new things every day. When you follow a fixed strategy and risk management plan it shows in your profits/losses because they will always be within the same range. But when you do not have a risk management plan in place today you will make 20% profit/loss and tomorrow you will make 1% profit/loss so there will be no consistency and this will lead you to have a low consistency score. usually, a consistency score of above 80% is considered good by prop firms.

which unlimited leverage brokers can you recommend? Replied 10 months ago - Technically, the leverage at none of these brokers is unlimited. For example, at Exness, when I traded with them in the past, they would reduce the leverage during active trading hours, on almost every news event, for 1 hour or more. So, almost every day during the Frankfurt & London open, the leverage was 1:200, not unlimited. You will see a message like the one attached in your mailbox, about change in Margin Requirements, the affected instruments & the hours. It is not just during news, many times during active opening hours, you will see leverage restrictions. So, no, the leverage is not unlimited. I assume that other unlimited leverage CFD brokers do the same as well, in order to manage their market risk. But in any case, I don't think you should be using unlimited leverage.
