Starting another 14-Day Prop Firm Free Trial, this time with FundedNext. 📊

Fresh account: $100,000

Profit Target: $5,000 (5%)

Daily Loss Limit: $5,000 (5%)

Maximum Loss: $10,000 (10%)

After finishing my FTMO trial in drawdown, I'm approaching this one differently. The previous challenge exposed some weaknesses in my execution and risk management, especially allowing my average losses to become significantly larger than my average wins.

This time I'm implementing my dynamic risk management strategy.

The goal is simple: protect the downside first and earn the right to increase risk.

When I'm in drawdown, risk stays reduced. As the account moves into profit and creates a cushion, I can gradually become more aggressive. A losing streak shouldn't be able to destroy the account before my trading edge has enough trades to play out.

I'll still be trading my usual SMC, liquidity and market-structure setups, but I'll be much more selective with execution.

This isn't just about hitting the 5% target.

For the next 14 days, I'm looking for:

Better risk management. Fewer unnecessary trades. Smaller drawdowns. Better R:R. More consistent execution.

New account. New sample size. Lessons carried forward.

FundedNext $100K Free Trial starts now. 📈

Let's see what the next 14 days produce.

Today’s Trading Summary — September 14, 2026

Today was a rough start on the new $100K FundedNext free trial, but I still have one position running well in profit.

I closed 2 trades, both losses. My EURUSD sell lost $892.84 net, while my GBPAUD sell lost $1,071.30 net. That puts my total closed P/L for the day at -$1,964.14, leaving my balance at $98,035.86.

However, my GBPCAD buy is still running at +$1,364.51 floating profit. With that position included, my equity is currently $99,400.37, meaning my effective drawdown is only around -$599.63 (-0.60%) despite the closed losses.

The biggest positive for me today is that I didn't allow the two losses to completely derail my trading. The GBPCAD setup came from a clear structural idea: price took out the high on the retracement leg, giving me an internal BOS, and I bought toward the key higher-timeframe level. That trade is currently doing the heavy lifting.

I'm still comfortably within the account rules. The daily loss limit is $5,000, with $4,400.37 remaining, while the overall $10,000 maximum loss limit has $9,400.37 remaining based on the dashboard.

So today isn't a profitable day yet, but it's also not a disaster. Two closed losses, one strong running winner, and risk still under control. My focus now is not to force another setup trying to recover the closed losses. I'll manage the GBPCAD position according to structure and let the market decide the final outcome.

Closed P/L: -$1,964.14 | Floating P/L: +$1,364.51 | Current Equity: $99,400.37 | Net position vs starting balance: -$599.63 (-0.60%)

The lesson for today: a losing start doesn't require aggressive recovery. Protect the account, stick to the setup, and let the edge play out over a series of trades.

What is the current account situation, because gbpcad is currently showing selling pressure

I lost on gbpcad, I didn't set BE on that trade

Gbpcad is heavily bearish, that zone is ranging which means price is in a pause and will continue till we have a reversal but that will be in a demand area of a higher timeframe

Today’s Trading Summary — September 16, 2026

Today was another difficult trading day on the account. My closed trades pushed the balance down to $95,466.85, putting my total realized P/L at -$4,533.15 (-4.53%) from the initial $100,000 balance.

At the time of this update, my open positions are performing much better, with +$1,452.90 in floating profit. This brings my equity back up to $96,919.75, meaning my effective account drawdown is currently around 3.08% rather than the full 4.53% reflected by the closed balance.

The biggest takeaway for me today is risk control. I'm getting close enough to the account's loss limits that protecting capital has to take priority over trying to recover losses quickly. The open profit is encouraging, but it isn't realized yet, so I don't want to treat it as a recovery until those trades are actually closed.

Today's numbers:

Starting account: $100,000

Current balance: $95,466.85

Realized P/L: -$4,533.15 (-4.53%)

Floating P/L: +$1,452.90

Current equity: $96,919.75

Equity drawdown: -$3,080.25 (-3.08%)

Overall, it wasn't a profitable day, but the account is still alive and the current positions have recovered a meaningful portion of the realized losses. My focus from here is not to force the account back to breakeven. It's to keep executing my setups, reduce unnecessary exposure, respect my dynamic risk model, and give my edge enough trades to play out.

No revenge trading. No increasing risk just because I'm down. Protect the account first; recovery comes second.

Just maintain a good risk management rather than recovering losses at once, same way price can go in your favour is same way it can go against you

Not every trade requires the same risk, when I have an A+ setup, I increase my risk and when I dont have one, I reduce my risk

And because trading is a game of probabilities, nothing works all the time, not even the A+ setups; we just have to accept the losses

I've observed you're always generating profits but never taking them. Not all trades will hit TP. Take your profits, once you see them running +$1,000 and above and don't get carried away that they'll go to hit TP.
You have to be flexible and not robotic in your trading, especially in profit taking.
Just advising.

Trading works more with compounding little profits and no profit is too small to take.
If you study how the losses happen it's still through little compounds of $200, $500 $350, $700 before you know it has turn into a -$3000 loss.
Imagine doing the reverse and taking your little profits and compounding them instead of waiting for one huge hit at TP that will give massive profits or pass the account.
I learnt this the hard way. and had decided to avoid that emotional torture of waiting for one big hit at TP or holding with high expectations of swinging till TP.
Little drops make a mighty ocean, same with compounding little by little; They accumulate big profits that you'll looking for in one trade.

Today’s Trading Summary — September 21, 2026

Today was a difficult trading session for me. I took 3 trades, and all three ended negative after commissions. My biggest loss came from Gold (XAUUSD), while the EURUSD trade was essentially around breakeven before commission.

Today’s trades:

XAUUSD Buy: -$175.80

EURUSD Buy: -$3.15 net after commission

GBPCAD Sell: -$66.06

Total net loss: -$244.? Based on the displayed net P&Ls, the total is -$245.01.

My account balance now stands at $94,121.70. Across the challenge so far, I have taken 15 trades, with a 26.67% win rate, 0.12 profit factor, and an average profit-to-average-loss ratio of 0.32.

The main lesson from today is that having a clear market narrative doesn't guarantee the market will deliver it. Gold in particular looked positioned for the upside, but the setup invalidated instead. EURUSD barely affected the account, while GBPCAD added another loss.

I'm still in a losing period, so protecting the account has to remain the priority. I don't need to recover today's losses tomorrow. I need to keep executing my edge, control risk, avoid revenge trading, and give the strategy enough trades for its expectancy to play out.
