bro you are in trading to make money and not to avoid losses. Making a $50 profit on 0.5 lot size of almighty gold is not good. the risk to reward is off . If you are risking 0.5 lot size you should make reasonable profit

you also need to add to your winners because you started with 100k and now you are down to 96k and rhe challenge is for some weeks. so you need to let winners run and make real profit

average profit is 0.1 usd which is low for a 100k account

the trade should have been left to run till like $500 profit

Don't close trade prematurely allow it to hit stop loss

0.5 lot size on gold is even too much risk, 0.1 lot is the highest I would go

It also depends on trade duration. if the tradelasted for like 30 minutes before coming back to breakeven its fine but if not

The risk to reward is not good, risking 0.84 lot size of gold to get $50 profit is not good. If the trade was in profit you should have taken partials and let it run. Or you should have reduced your lot size because 0.84 lot size is even too much for a pair as volatile as gold.

Trade a lot size you are comfortable with so you don't have to run out of a trade once you see a small negative movement.
