2:30 PM Nigerian time, I plan to open my trade 10 minutes before that time because brokers will likely lower the leverage you can use as the time nears.

NFP will be released by 1:30 pm because nigeria is 5 hours ahead of New York. So while the report is released by 8 30 am in NY, it will be 1:30 pm in Nigeria.

NFP for July is going to be released on Friday, the 1st of August by 1:30 pm Nigerian time.

If you are in Nigeria, the September 2025 NFP will be released on 3rd October 2025 by 1:30 PM Nigerian time (which is 8:30 AM in American Time). Always remember that Nigeria is ahead of New York by around 5 hours this period.

are you trading the nfp @kemi? if you dont mind me asking,which broker are you using? I am asking because i once had a terrible experience while trading nfp when my stop loss wasn't executed till i lost about 40 pips. I wrote to my broker for redress but they said it was slippage and it wasnt their fault.

I trade nfp with Deriv; Sorry about your experience but to avoid slippage losses i fund my account with just the required amount for the trade plus an extra to cover stop loss.

NFP comes in first Friday of every month but if the first Friday is a public holiday in America, then they will release the NFP on Thursday instead of Friday.

@Obinna, its good to activate Guaranteed Stop Loss when trading NFP, I know most Nigerian traders are not used to using guaranteed stops but they are effective against slippage during news trading.

For Friday, March 6 2026 (the first Friday of March), the U.S. Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) report is scheduled to be released at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) — that’s the regular timing for this key employment data.

🇳🇬 In Nigeria time (West Africa Time, WAT):

ET (Eastern Time) is typically 5 hours behind WAT.

So 8:30 a.m. ET becomes 1:30 p.m. in Nigeria on the same day.
