Gold gave the entry I was waiting for.

Price finally retraced deeper into discount, allowing me to enter the buy closer to the lower part of the range.

BUY XAUUSD: 4135–4137

SL: 4130.72

TP: 4155 → 4165 → 4170.64

I would rather wait for discount than buy at premium.

The lesson here is don't chase price.

I had the bullish idea, but I didn't immediately enter.

I waited for XAUUSD to come back into a deeper discount area.

Entry: 4135.01

SL: 4130.72

TP1: 4155

TP2: 4165

TP3: 4170.64

The patience improved the trade location significantly.

Price traded deeper into discount and reached the area I wanted.

Now I'm looking for a move back toward the previous highs.

Entry: 4135.01–4136.70

Stop: 4130.72

Targets: 4155 / 4165 / 4170.64

Risk is defined. Let the market do the rest.

Gold buyers finally got the discount I wanted. 🟢

Instead of buying the first bullish reaction, I waited for price to retrace deeper.

That patience brought the entry down toward 4135.

BUY: 4135.01

SL: 4130.72

TP1: 4155

TP2: 4165

TP3: 4170.64

Good trades start with good locations.

Price had already shown bullish intent, but the entry wasn't attractive enough.

So I waited.

Price traded deeper into discount → entry triggered.

Entry: 4135.01–4136.70

SL: 4130.72

TP: 4155 / 4165 / 4170.64

No FOMO. Wait for your level.

The market doesn't always give the perfect entry immediately.

For XAUUSD, I wanted to buy—but only at discount.

Price eventually came into my zone around 4135, giving me the opportunity.

Discount was the key.

I wasn't interested in chasing Gold higher.

The plan was simple:

Wait for deeper retracement → enter at discount → protect below the low → target the upside liquidity.

XAUUSD BUY @ 4135–4137

SL @ 4130.72

TP @ 4155 / 4165 / 4170.64

Execution over emotion.

So I waited for the retracement.

Price eventually delivered the deeper discount entry.

I got stopped out on BE. I will enter again.

I have set my sell stop order again, once price breaks below that level at 4147.000, my order will be triggered for the sells again

Re-analyze carefully and prioritize your profits if it's anything close to your target for the day.
Leaving profits on the table because you want a direct hit on TP on the trade all the time, is not always a wise decision for me.
I try to be very logical and flexible as possible despite having a systemic style of trading.
The system you've built should give you room for optimization and buffering. when trades don't go exactly as planned.

When you enter a trade, take a screenshot that shows both chart and live P & L then when you close the trade also do the same thing
