do demo accounts expire? Replied 6 months ago - i think they do, i recall my demo account disappearing some time ago and when i contacted support they said it had expired i think it was after 4 months or so. Like @daniel said, if you use it regularly it will stay active. But if it does expire, you can simply open another one and continue practicing. Currently I use TradingView demo account to test strategies but it expires after around 3 months.

what is one-click trading in my forex app? Replied 6 months ago - Its an instant order placement feature that is optional on most trading apps and platforms. When you enable one-click trading, the app will not ask you to confirm if you really want to perform a buy/sell command, it will just go ahead and execute it. One-click trading should be used with care because once an order is placed (even mistakenly), it cannot be reversed. Some brokers will require you to agree to some legal terms when you enable one-click trading for the first time.

what is the meaning of watchlist on my forex app? Replied 6 months ago - A watchlist is a list of your favorite instruments which you trade often (such as currency pairs, indices, commodities etc.) . On your forex trading app you can create your own custom watchlist by adding or removing instruments of choice. The importance of a watchlist is that you can easily check the price of an instrument without having to close your current activity page, which helps for multi-tasking.

how do i increase account balance on demo account Replied 6 months ago - It depends on the broker, most old/established brokers have made provisions for you to increase your demo account balance from the client area dashboard. But most new/low-budget brokers will require you to send them an email request to increase your demo account balance.

why does metatrader look so boring Replied 6 months ago - I used to feel the same way about metatrader when i began trading but with time i realized metatraders bland user interface void of any fancy designs makes it lightweight and easy to install/uninstall plus metatrader starts up faster than most trading platforms. Once you open the metatrader app, it initializes fast so you dont miss out on a trade. If you look at a rival trading platform like cTrader, it is so heavy and takes several minutes to install. Even when you open cTrader it doesnt load as fast as metatrader does thus if you are in a hurry to place a trade you may not meet up.

How Do I Learn To Use TradingView Without Paying A Subscription & Does TradingView Have A Free Demo Account Where I can Test it's Features? Replied 8 months ago - TradingView has a free demo account which they call paper trading so you can learn with this. To use the demo account, register/login to TradingView, select an instrument, view on super-charts, then open the trade panel at the bottom and click on paper trading to use the demo account.

ctrader vs mt4 which is the better choice? Replied 8 months ago - Here's my take: the only aspect where mt4 outshines cTrader is algorithmic trading/Expert Advisor use. Because more brokers offer mt4, they are able to place their servers near mt4 servers thus guaranteeing faster execution speed and lower latency and this translates to better performance of expert advisors. On all other aspects, cTrader outperforms mt4 totally. I think the fair enough comparison should be between cTrader and mt5.

MT4 vs MT5 who is the winner? Replied 8 months ago - Purely from the point of view of charting library, both MT4 & MT5 in my opinion are not as good as Tradingview. I use the broker's platform (it can be anything, MT4 or MT5 or proprietary) for placing orders only, not for charting. But if you have to make a direct comparison between MT4 & MT5: a. You can find higher number of instruments on a broker's MT5 platform like stock CFDs. But it necessarily does not make it better. b. One good thing about MT5 is that you can code EAs & indicators in Python, while you have to write it in MQL4 in MT4. It is much easier to write your own scripts in MT5 & run it on a server, compared to MT4. Not that you cannot do it on MT4, but it's just much easier to do it in Python, there are more libraries & help compared to MQL4.

What are the best apps for forex trading in Kenya? Replied 9 months ago - I agree with @Morris on Exness, out of all the CMA regulated forex brokers in Kenya, Exness has the best mobile app I have used. The runner-up is FP Markets. Basically I can set and adjust my Stop Loss on the go from the Exness app and I can analyze charts using the drawing tools on the integrated TradingView charts. Those features are not common on other apps.

How to open a real forex account on MetaTrader 4 Replied 9 months ago - Have you opened an account with a regulated forex broker? This is the first thing you should do before downloading MT4. In fact you should download the MT4 from the forex brokers website directly. So, although you may be able to open a demo account from MT4 you will not be able to open a live account. To open a live or real account, you need to go to the forex brokers website and register, create a profile then setup your MT4 trading account. After doing so, the forex broker will send your MT4 login details to your email and then you can use those details to login to your MT4. While opening the account, remember to select MT4 as your preferred platform because MT5 login details will not work on MT4.

How Do I Connect My Exness Trading Account to MT5 on my Laptop? Its Asking Me To Choose A Server But I Don't Know Which To Select Replied 9 months ago - I will assume you have already downloaded the Exness MT5 software to your phone or desktop. Proceed to check your email for a message from Exness containing your Exness trading account number, password & server details. If you cannot find the email containing your login data, you can go to your Exness personal area and reset the account password then chat Exness support on live chat and ask them to tell you the server you should connect to. Armed with this information, go to your MT5 software, click on file > login to trade account> enter your account details and connect. Exness will also give you the name of the demo server, so if you want to connect your Exness demo account to MT5 follow the above steps but this time enter your demo trading account number and choose the demo server that was given to you.
