JP225 Daily Trade Analysis
Bias-Bearish
Technical Outlook-Descending Channel

Nikkei (JP225) has experienced a strong price decline of -3% gain this week following more sells on semi-conductor and AI stocks in Asia, which was preceded by US chip stocks like seen on Nasdaq.

Technically, the sharp selloff this week, resumed at 65,667 price level (Monday's high), breaking below a strong key level support @63000 price region.

The break below the 63,000 support is technically significant because it shifts that zone from demand into a potential resistance area. watching for a retest of 63,000–63,300 to see if sellers defend it with bearish rejection. If that happens, it would strengthen the case for continuation to the downside, while a sustained reclaim above the broken support would weaken the current bearish structure and warrant a reassessment of the bias.

The descending channel continues to define the higher-timeframe order flow, so selling rallies while price remains below the channel resistance. A clean breakout and daily close above the upper boundary would be the first technical signal that bearish momentum is weakening. Until then, be watching for bearish rejection on pullbacks, with the 59,000 region remaining a reasonable downside objective if the current structure stays intact.

The 4-hour broadening channel provides a useful framework for today's price action. While price remains below the upper boundary, favour continuation sells on rallies, especially if bearish rejection and displacement appear at resistance. A decisive breakout above the channel with strong momentum would invalidate the short-term bearish structure and increase the probability of price rotating back toward the upper boundary of the daily descending channel.
