We also need to look at our earnings calendar every day to know whats heppening. It shows today 5 companies are announcing their quarterly earnings, 21 companies are scheduled to pay dividend so if you buy their shares now you wont qualify for the dividend. It also shows that 6 indices including NAS100 have adjusted their price downward to reflect upcoming dividend payments.

Nasdaq, Inc. (NDAQ) is scheduled to pay a quarterly dividend of $0.27 per share on March 30, 2026. Shareholders of record at the close of business on March 16, 2026, will receive this payment. The ex-dividend date for this payout is March 16, 2026

Please shed more light on EX-Dividend date

@Kemi, from the Earnings calendar, Nasdaqs ex-dividend date is today 16th March which means if you were to buy their shares at any date from today up till 30th March when the quarterly dividend is expected to be paid to shareholders, you will NOT qualify to receive the dividend payment. However, you will receive subsequent dividend payments down the year but not the one they will pay on 30th March. hope this helps

I have now taken a buy trade. My reason for taking this trade is because price broke out of the lower 15-minute range, and reversed back into it thus giving me my buy signal encircled in blue.

Hi guys, welcome to today's New York trading session. the Nasdaq stock exchange just opened two minutes ago (by 9 30 am EST or 3:30 pm UTC+1). So, i will wait for the first 15-minute candle to form then mark out it's high and low and wait for a breakout to either side.

I have marked out the first 15 minutes of the Nasdaq stock exchange open, next step is to watch for a breakout of the range.

I have taken a sell trade because after price broke out of the lower Asian range, it tried to reverse back into the range but failed, creating our sell candlestick pattern encircled in blue. Sl is of course above the 15 minute range.

15-minute Nasdaq stock exchange open breakout strategy

The Nasdaq stock exchange opens by 9 30 am EST (or 3:30 pm UTC+1 NG time). After it opens, we mark out the first 15 minute range and wait for a breakout.

Price broke out of the upper 15-minute range and reversed back into it leaving a reversal pattern in its trail. I have thus taken a sell trade with SL above the reversal pattern
