I got stopped out on this trade. Its safe to say this strategy has a low win rate so I will be putting it on hold.

Why not still try it on 10 more setups? I do well to try my strategy on 100 setups on a particular pair before I conclude whether it’s profitable or not.

Nasdaq stock exchange has opened (9 30 am EST or 3:30 pm UTC + 1 NG time) and we marked out the first 15 minute range. price has now broken out of the range and is reversing upwards leaving behind a buy pattern in its trail. I am waiting for upward momentum to build before I Buy.

SL blown again but i think I am begining too see a pattern here. Price always gives a fake breakout first then later moves in the direction of the prevailing trend on the 4H chart.

Today I took a buy trade because the 4H chart is bullish and price is reversing back into the 15-min range.

Major Changes

I made changes to the Nasdaq stock exchange time conversion to UTC. Yes, the Nasdaq exchange opens by 9 30 AM in New York time, but when converted to UTC it is 13:30 pm UTC. Just thought to make that correction here.

So, our 15 minute range will now be from 13:30 to 13:45 pm UTC time.

Lets go to todays trade

So, for today I have market out the 15-minute Nasdaq open range and price broke out of the upper range and i shorted on the first red candle.

TP smashed !

Oh I see, the changes to the timing has worked. This time conversion thing can be so confusing. I also like that your risk was very low this is like a 1:6 RR. I am learning !

I always say the first thing any beginner should learn in trading is how to mark out sessions and time capsules on a chart. Its like the most overlooked thing by beginners.

Welcome to American trading, the Nasdaq stock exchange is now open (9 30 am NY time, 13:30 pm UTC London time, 2:30 pm UTC+1 NG time). Now, we will wait for the first 15 minute candle to form and mark its high and low with a rectangle/box.

Yes

So here we have the 15-minute range boxed in. We will wait for a break in either direction then decide on what to do next

I have taken a short trade because price broke out of the 15 minute range, tried to reverse back into it but rejected and kept going downwards in the direction of the 4H trend
