SP 500 Market Review (Wed, 30th Sept 2026)
Trend: Bullish
Bias: Bullish
Technical Outlook: Bearish Trendline Breakout
Intraday Analysis: S&P 500 has been consolidating for two months (August and September). Price broke out of the august consolidation on Monday last week before entering another phase of consolidation last week in order to retest the bearish trendline resistance it broke out from at the 7680-7660 support price region.
Today's bullish move is set to engulf yesterday's bearish candle, signifying bullish dominance and possibility of price continuing its rally.
I've positioned for the long opportunities.
Entry: 7698
SL:7647
TP: 7820

is SPCX part of this index?

No Sir. It is not.
SPCX (Space X) is part of the NAS 100 index.

Space X currently do not have the direct index weight required to be listed under S&P 500 Index.
They will also need a minimum of 15 months of public trading among other requirements to be listed under S&P 500.

How is the month end affecting the SP500 index?

Because of the heavy sells on stocks this month, equity allocation has been below target for most institutions and investors this month. Month end is the opportunity for them to rebalance their portfolio and in response to the sells, most equities will be seeing buying pressure just like S&P 500.
So, in Month ends like this, S&P 500 direction often depends on the net flow of assets either because investors are rebalancing their portfolios to meet their targets, or readjusting their positions and moving money between equities, bonds, cash or international assets to meet up their pre-determined allocation schedules.
