what happens to stock prices of EU companies if the Euro weakens?
Replied 1 month ago -
If tthe weakening of the euro is caused by inflation, the ECB may have to hike rates thus making it hard for EU companies to access loans for expansion so they may declare less profits and the stock price will fall

Hawkish is when those who formulate government fiscal policy (such as central banks) are leaning towards increasing interest rates. Dovish is the opposite.

which economic news has the most impact on forex?
Replied 2 months ago -
It could depend on the forex pair you are trading. For EUR/USD I guess Nonfarm Payroll has the capacity to rock the boat when it is released

disinflation vs deflation: which is better for a currency?
Replied 4 months ago -
inflation is good for currency..
deflation is bad.
It's not that easy some currencies can thrive because of geopolitical situations. Being safe haven and all.
But for currency traders the fundamentals don't matter if the trade timeline is intraday or even a swing trade.

does unemployment rate affect the exchange rate of a currency?
Replied 4 months ago -
Yes, it does and that's why people trade USD pairs immediately after the Nonfarm Payroll (NFP) US jobs report is released every month. The us dollar exchange rate will mostly rise or fall depending on the content of the NFP report.

is the heatwave in Europe going to affect financial markets?
Replied 4 months ago -
The heatwave in Europe is expected to end in a few weeks so I don't think it will do much damage to the economy of the affected countries. However, like Paul said, commodity prices will certainly rise.

when gold prices fall does it affect audusd sentiment?
Replied 4 months ago -
Australia is one of the largest producers and exporters of gold on the planet. They generate most of their revenue by selling gold so yeah, when gold prices rise, the Australian dollar becomes stronger and audusd sentiment shifts to bullish because it will then cost more USD to buy one AUD.
However, when gold prices fall, audusd sentiment shifts to bearish because aud becomes weaker and it will cost less USD to buy one AUD.

which eurchf news can affect its price?
Replied 4 months ago -
News of Trade Wars between the United States & China have caused Swiss Franc to appreciate against other currencies in the past.
When US & China were in a trade war, investors ran to the Swiss Franc for safety, and this caused the Swiss Franc to strengthen against the Euro; so, the EUR/CHF exchange rate fell to record lows.

what factors affect natural gas prices in the uk
Replied 4 months ago -
When wind speeds in the North Atlantic Ocean reduce, wind turbines & other renewable energy sources which use wind as a source of power are unable to work at full capacity.
This means UK & EU residents will have to rely more on natural gas for heat during the winter, thus increasing its demand & driving up the price.

who determines the price of oil globally?
Replied 4 months ago -
Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) are the ones that ultimately determine the price of oil. When they want to increase oil prices, they simply ask all OPEC member states to cut production, thus reducing supply and increasing demand.

if a New Zealand milk exporter increases its payout to dairy farmers will NZD/USD appreciate?
Replied 4 months ago -
Fonterra is a really big dairy exporter in New Zealand & they account for about 25% of all exports leaving New Zealand.
So, if they indeed increase payout to dairy farms then investors will take it as a sign that the New Zealand economy is growing, and they will invest more in the New Zealand Dollar causing it to appreciate.
So, short answer is yes, if Fonterra increases payment to farmers, then the NZD/USD exchange rate will rise meaning it will cost more USD to buy 1 NZD

which U.S. public holidays affect banks & stock exchanges
Replied 4 months ago -
Today is a major holiday in the U.S. as they celebrate their independence. I am not going to trade the new york session because there will be poor liquidity and stop losses will be hit easily as the market tries to look for liquidity from clients
