Bro 1 hour time frame is too big to trade with. There ae some little details you will not be seeing on 1 hour. For me I use 15 minute timeframe for entry and 10 minute timeframe for exit.

I placed a trade after yesterdays PMI news release during NY session and I forgot that the brokers usually widen their spread after news release. So, I got stopped within seconds for a big loss, I learnt my lesson never to open a trade immediately after news is released.

once you are trading without a strategy, it will always feel like you are gambling. Also once you are trading without a daily loss limit, or some form of metric to prevent you from over-trading, it will always feel like gambling.

100k USD? The answer to your question depends on the leverage your broker allows for the instrument you are trading. Brokers give the highest leverage to major currency pairs like EUR/USD. Price action is not really about cndestick patterns, to me it is about understanding the seasonal behaviour of the markets. For example how does the forex market behave at the begining of the year? how does the forex market behave at the end of the year? which month is the most volatile in the forex market? price action aims to answer such questions.
