The New York session opened at 1 pm UTC+1 and it opened ith a bang. there was massive selling pressure and I went short once price broke out of the lower pre-ny range (white line on chart). Normally when there is such strong momentum, price would always push towards the nearest hourly high

I got out at the nearest hourly high, and made some profit

Yes, US PMI data came out around that time hence the volatility
