๐Ÿ“‰ GBP/USD Daily Analysis

GBP/USD is showing increasing bearish pressure after failing to sustain recent gains.

The sharp decline from the latest swing high suggests sellers are gaining control.

Bias: Bearish

Timeframe: Daily

Price refused to tag me on this trade. Should i delete the order or leave it there?

That will depend on the structure that follows

USDCAD update:

My buy setup reached the original TP, but I was already stopped out at break-even.

The setup itself played out exactly as anticipated.

The problem wasn't the analysis.

It was the trade management.

Another lesson for the journal. ๐Ÿ“–

USDCAD eventually hit 1.38672 โ€” my original target.

But I wasn't in the trade anymore.

I had already moved my SL to break-even and price came back to take me out before making the move.

BE stopped โ†’ TP hit.

That's trading sometimes.

This is why I separate analysis from execution.

My USDCAD analysis was correct.

The bullish structure held.

Price respected the setup.

And eventually reached my target.

But my management took me out at BE before the move completed.

Being right doesn't automatically mean making money.

USDCAD gave me one of those painful lessons:

Sometimes your stop-loss protects you from a loss and also protects you from your profit. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I was stopped at BE.

Then price continued straight toward my original TP.

No revenge trade.

No emotional re-entry.

Just another lesson.

USDCAD eventually delivered exactly what I was looking for.

But I didn't allow the trade enough room to breathe.

That's something I'm reviewing.

One thing I'm learning more and more:

Moving to break-even isn't always risk-free.

Yes, it protects capital.

But if BE is moved too early, normal market retracement can remove you from a perfectly valid setup.

USDCAD just gave me a real-time example.

USDCAD just gave me a real-time example.

USDCAD buy was based on a bullish continuation.

Entry was taken from the retracement.

Price respected the level, pushed higher and eventually reached the target.

But before the expansion, price retraced enough to take my SL at BE.

Then it ran.

Painful?

Yes.

Useful?

Absolutely.

I don't consider this a failed analysis.

The original target was 1.38672.

Price got there.

The setup worked.

My management didn't.

That's an important distinction.

Instead of blaming the market, I'm reviewing why I moved to BE when I did and whether the structure had actually justified that decision.

Another reminder:

Don't confuse protecting a trade with managing a trade.

Sometimes moving SL to BE feels like the safest thing to do.

But if the market hasn't given enough confirmation for the move, BE can become another form of premature exit.

USDCAD stopped me at BE and then hit TP.

Lesson received.

My original bullish setup played out.

Price eventually reached TP at 1.38672.

But I was already out after getting stopped at break-even.

So the trade closed at 0R, despite the analysis reaching the intended target.

The setup was right.

The management needs work.

That's trading.

Not every lesson comes from a loss. Sometimes BE teaches you more than SL does.

XAGUSD (Silver) BUY

Entry: 68.589

Silver buy setup on the radar ๐Ÿฅˆ

Watching a key protected low here. As long as it holds, I'm looking for buys. If price breaks below it, the whole bias flips bearish.

This Silver buy comes with a clear condition: hold above the protected low and I'm buying from this level. Break it, and the read changes completely โ€” no forcing a buy bias into a broken structure.

A protected low is a level that's held as support through recent price action โ€” it's been defended, not just touched once. On this Silver chart, that low is the line in the sand for the entire bias.

Not every setup is one-directional until proven otherwise. This Silver level is genuinely two-sided: hold it and buyers stay in control, break it and sellers take over. My SL is placed exactly where that answer gets decided.

Silver buy โ€” defined risk, solid reward if the level holds.

๐Ÿ“ Entry: 68.589 ๐Ÿ›‘ SL: 68.200 ๐ŸŽฏ TP: 69.964

Just over 1:3.5 on this one. Worth the risk given how clearly the invalidation is defined.

Silver's sitting right on a protected low. If it breaks below instead of holding, do you:

A) Flip bias and look for sells B) Stay flat and wait for a clearer read C) Look for a smaller buy on a deeper level

The SL on this Silver trade isn't arbitrary โ€” it sits exactly where the bullish read gets invalidated. If it's hit, I'm not fighting it, I'm flipping with the market.
