What is JOLTS report in fundamental analysis? Replied 1 month ago - Why JOLTS Matters to Traders Traders and investors watch JOLTS because it gives clues about the economy, especially employment strength. 🔷 1. Signals Labor Market Strength High job openings → strong economy, companies want workers. Low job openings → weak economy, companies slowing down hiring. 🔷 2. Influences Central Bank Policy The Federal Reserve watches JOLTS closely. Strong JOLTS (many openings) → Fed may stay hawkish (higher interest rates). Weak JOLTS → Fed may become dovish (lower rates). 🔷 3. Affects Currency Markets (Forex) Strong JOLTS → USD often strengthens. Weak JOLTS → USD often weakens. 🔷 4. Helps Predict Big Reports like NFP JOLTS comes before the monthly Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP), so traders use it to guess what NFP might look like.

Why was September 2025 NFP not released as scheduled? Replied 1 month ago - The September 2025 NFP report — normally due the first Friday in October — was delayed because the U.S. federal government shut down at the start of October. 🏛️ What Happened:? The U.S. federal government ran out of funding on October 1, 2025 after lawmakers failed to pass a spending bill. When the government shuts down, many federal agencies stop operations because funding is paused. One of the agencies affected was the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) — the agency that produces the monthly labor market reports, including NFP. Because the BLS could not operate normally, it suspended the collection and release of economic data, including the September NFP. So, the September report wasn’t published on its usual Friday date because the agency that prepares and publishes it couldn’t function during the shutdown.

I stumbled across a warning from SEC that Nigerians trade forex at their own risk. Is forex trading legal in Nigeria? If not, what is stopping Nigerian authorities from licensing forex brokers? Is there a way to predict nfp direction? Replied 1 month ago - It is highly dependent on the broker you are using, most low tier brokers will fail to execute the pending order but most tier-1 regulated brokers will always execute it although sometimes it may be executed at an inferior price. So, yea the pending order will get triggered but mind you the spreads are always high on such transactions.

if you can't take a small loss, you will be forced to take a big one Replied 1 month ago - Personally, based on my strategy I place my stoploss at invalidation zones . These are zones that if price goes beyond it then the setup is a failed setup. This is to say that I don’t really cut losses when I take a trade cos I know where price should gets to before the trade becomes invalid.

Take partial profit or adjust SL: which is better? Replied 1 month ago - Pls read what i wrote carefully. I told you how the trade are managed if I’m adjusting my stoploss instead of taking partial profit. Adjusting my stoploss helps me to secure more profit as revealed by my technical analysis. Note: Taking partial profit reduces the total money, you should make but adjusting stoploss still affords you the opportunity to make more cos you haven’t reduced the lotsize. Taking partial profit reduces your lotsize which invariably reduces the amount made.
