His trading strategy today is a secret they do not really divulge details. But if you check his hedge fund's website you will see the assets they invest in.

what is hfx trading, how much to get started? Replied 7 months ago - hfx trading is just another hoax like ICT & order Block, don't fall for it. There is no need to overcomplicate trading by trying every new thing you hear of. Basically, hfx trading is just trading lower time frames actively and racking up small profits but it's not practical in reality.

is copy trading risky? Replied 7 months ago - @ozgal I wouldn't take recommendations from anyone here. You can check for yourself but copy trading is at your own risk. If the person you are copying sustains losses there's nothing you can do about it, no refunds!!! I always prefer to trade by myself and hold myself accountable.

can i open a buy & sell trade on same instrument simultaneously? Replied 8 months ago - Yes, but it is mainly a risk management procedure meant to reduce the losses you are already sustaining on a current trade. It is a strategy used for lowering losses and not for making profit.

how does after hours trading work? Replied 9 months ago - I guess it depends on what you are trading. For stocks, the exchanges close around 4 pm so any stocks you trade after that are done during aftermarket hours. Not all stockbrokers may support aftermarket hours trading & the ones who do may charge higher fees. Not every order may be filled during aftermarket hours as some brokers only permit pending orders so that if they can fill it they do and if they cannot fill it, they leave it unfilled. For forex, aftermarket trading is when you trade outside the 4 major sessions (Sydney, Tokyo, London, New York). For example, in-between the Asian and the London session, there is a 2-hour gap which some call the Frankfurt session or the Pre-London session. If you trade during this time, it could be considered aftermarket hours trading. People who participate in aftermarket hours trading are the ones who are busy during the market hours, perhaps they have day jobs that don't allow them to trade when others are trading.

what is a carry trade in forex? Replied 9 months ago - Let me add to what @randolf has said. If you do not carry a trade properly you won't earn any interest, in fact you will be debited for the interest rate differential instead. Whether you earn overnight interest on a carry trade depends on if you are buying or selling the currency pair. In @randolf's example, USD/ZAR interest rate is 4.5% vs 7.25% so to earn interest you must sell the USD/ZAR pair and leave the trade open overnight. If you go ahead and buy USD/ZAR overnight, you will be debited instead because you are borrowing ZAR to buy USD, meaning you are borrowing ZAR with higher interest to buy USD with lower interest.

The SMC strategy seeks to pinpoint when these institutional traders will be placing their orders, so that you can take advantage of the momentum it will generate. Some people claim to look out for unusual market structure on the charts (which they call order blocks) and attribute it to the activities of institutional traders. However, SMC trading strategy has its drawbacks because most institutional traders execute their large orders secretly in something called "dark pools" so as not to spook the market. For me i just focus on understanding pure price action and try not to dive too deep into SMC because it is a really murky trading concept.

what is the hallmark of a good trading strategy? Replied 10 months ago - A good trading strategy is like a drug, it must be very specific and should work only under specific conditions and only on specific instruments. it shouldn't be a one size fits all kind of strategy. A good strategy should leave nothing to chance, every detail such as timeframe, trading session, entry/exit point, etc. must be spelt out.

trendline trading strategy Replied 11 months ago - Start drawing the trend line from the begining of the trend, and make good that the trend line touches the pullbacks on the trend (see blue circle in chart image). Remember to use the "trend line tool" to draw your trend lines, you can find it in your toolbox panel

How to get perfect entry in forex Replied 11 months ago - its smart to always enter whenever prices closes below or above a notable opening or closing price in the past. For example we are in 2025 so if you notice price has fallen lower and closed below the closing price of 2024, then it may be time to sell. Take a look at the sp500 yearly chart i attached, each cande represents one year. You will notice that in 2025 the candle is red (bearish) and has closed below the 2024 closing price which signifies intense selling pressure. if you time your entry immediately after price has breached the 2024 high and retested it, it would be a perfect entry because the risk will be low as chances of price reversing back up immediately would be slim. You can place your stop loss at least 10 pips above 2024 closing price. This example also applies to monthly charts, weekly charts etc.

does smc trading strategy really have an edge in forex? Replied 1 year ago - Hi Segun, in my opinion I think the smc trading strategy brouhaha does not work because I dont think anyone can predict when banks are trading by merely looking at charts. Its all a conspiracy theory and I would rather stick to traditional price action trading than give into smart money concept & ict trading strategy conspiracy theories.

How to trade London session forex, is there a strategy to profitably trade the London session in forex? Replied 1 year ago - I use this simple breakout strategy to trade the London session. I simply mark the high/low of the Asian session on a H1 chart and wait for a breakout during the London session then trade the break. The logic behind this is that one of the busiest times of the London session is early in the morning when the traders in the bug banks in London are just opening for work. My thinking is that they place the big orders early in the morning so this can cause a breakout from the Asian session range. I want to add that no strategy is foolproof but this works for me most of the time.

How to trade CPI in forex Replied 1 year ago - Update: The CPI first 15M fade trade was okay today with small SL. The high & low of the first 15M of the CPI news. The Fade move is to take the first opposite PA, which was the Bullish engulfing 5M. The idea is to trade a low SL, so only trade the edges or a break. The other move is to trade a break, where you wait for a break to one side of the 15M.
