How do I change the timezone on MT5? Replied 2 weeks ago - The time on MetaTrader is a function of the brokers server location. It may not be possible to do anything about it. Alternatively, you can ask your broker to let you open another trading account that will be hosted on a different server whose time aligns to your local time.

What is the Best Forex Trading App in Nigeria? Replied 2 months ago - Tickmill has a good mobile app but it only works with their raw spread account. I use the app frequently and it allows me to do technical analysis; drawing trend lines, drawing shapes, highlighting areas etc. and it saves everything so that when I come back later, I can continue from where I stopped.

Installing/using MT4 on android phone is not difficult Replied 2 months ago - Beginners should download mt4 from the brokers website and not from play store? I think any beginner should be able to install mt4 on their android phone but mistake they make is they download the mt4 straight from the google playstore instead of from their brokers website. What's the difference? The difference between downloading mt4 from brokers website vs from google play store is that mt4 from the broker has already been designed for easy installation/setup. The one you download from the play store is more technical to setup. What do you mean by more technical? More technical means when you download mt4 from the google play store, you have to start searching for your particular brokers name, and you have to select the brokers entity where your account is regulated. So, assuming you are based in the UK you have to select your brokers UK entity and not some other offshore entity. You then have to search for the actual server your account is hosted on and that is another technicality. However, when you download mt4 android from your brokers website, the process is shortened as you dint have to search for the brokers name as it is already inputted by default. Okay so how is the installation done? You start by opening an mt4 account with any regulated broker, then take note of your mt4 account number, password, and mt4 server name where your account is connected to. Click on "file" then select "login to trade account" . Use your mt4 account number as login, then insert your password and select the relevant server and you're good to go ! Remember that demo servers are for demo accounts and live servers are for live accounts. Dont go selecting demo server when the account number you inputted is that of your live account. How will I know if mt4 login is successful on my android phone? If your login attempt went successfully well, you will be able to see your account balance displayed on the mt4 android app. If you can't see your balance then check the steps again, you may have made a mistake somewhere. It's really simple and beginners should not get confused/discouraged.

why do brokers locate their servers in London & New York? Replied 3 months ago - I guess it is to reduce latency. The brokers server has to be as close as possible to that of the liquidity provider, if clients are going to get instant execution of orders.

how do i set the correct time zone on my trading platform? Replied 3 months ago - You may need to contact your MetaTrader broker to move you to a new server that aligns with your timezone. On TradingView you can simply change it by editing the time zone settings but on MetaTrader it is more complicated. This one reason why TradingView is so popular!!!

How does Direct Market Access (DMA) work in trading? Replied 4 months ago - DMA gives you a direct connection to get pricing from the market without passing through your brokers dealing desk. It is most helpful in stock trading because you can also trade during after-market hours. DMA can be expensive if you are trading small volumes because you still pay a flat commission per trade, stock exchange fees, plus other hidden fees. This is the reason why some brokers reserve DMA for high-volume traders alone. DMA is a good trading superpower but only if it is in the right hands, if not it can do more harm than good if you are a novice.

How to use TradingView Charts for Live Trading Replied 5 months ago - I don't like using TradingView to place orders because the execution speed is poor given that it is a web based platform. I prefer doing my analysis with TradingView then placing my orders on MT4/5 for faster execution.

whats the fastest way to connect exness to mt5? Replied 5 months ago - Get your account login details by logging into your exness personal area, click on "my accounts" then copy the MT5 login (which is your account number) then take note of the server name. Go back to the MT5 platform you downloaded, and use these details to login. If you have forgotten your password, you can also change login password from your personal area.

if while trading my forex app freezes, will i be compensated for losses? Replied 6 months ago - It's left to the brokers discretion to decide if you will be compensated but they can refuse to do it and cite legal terms and conditions. However, most brokers have a complaint procedure which requires you to write a formal complaint via email within 2 working days of the event, wait for a confirmation email from the broker as proof they have received your email, then wait for them to resolve.
