But the Interesting thing to note is, Although New York session starts by 2.00pm, The US stocks Exchange market opens by 2.30pm that's why volatility is usually very high on indices like US30 and NAS100 by 2.30pm.

Why the 51,990-52,000 region? Is there something peculiar about the region?

51990-52000 is the next key resistance level because it is the origin of the lower high that gave the most recent low of last month, and this month. Price will not easily break through it but will face resistance from bears just like in previous times.
Also 52,000 is a round psychological level, and psychological levels attracts orders, making that region a key area of interest for both buyers and sellers.

So, I'll still hold my trades since it is low risk. Entry: 51518, SL: 50838 although price has invalidated the intraday's bullish channel and will possibly be heading for a retest of that monthly trendline resistance as support at the 51101-price level.
