Day 2 Trade summary on the Account.

I took 1 trade setup on the Account yesterday.
Nas 100 sells
Total number of positions- 5
Lot size- 0.5(2 positions) 1(3 positions) total-4
Total Risk- 0.5% approx.
Profit Target-1.5% approx.

Comment: Trade did not hit Take Profit. I exited manually because I spotted a 1hr level at 29536 that acted as an internal support, with a potential to reverse price back to my entry.

EOD Account Balance: $100,179

Profit: +$189.05
Swap: -$0
Commission: -$0

Observation: The contract size on Nasdaq is 1. That means
0.01 lot =$0.01/pip
0.1 lot = $0.1/pip
1.0 lot = $1/pip

So relatively, 5 standard lot is an equivalent of $5/pip and 100 pips move will give you $500.
This means 10 standard lot is an equivalent of $10/pip and 100 pips move will give you $1000.

With this contract size, standard lots are best for the $100,000 to achieve good profits day-trading the account, with proper risk management.

Understanding contract sizes matters a lot, because it can help in position sizing so you don't under risk or overrisk your account when trading particular assets.

N/B: Contract sizes are usually lower on indices and Higher on Currency pairs. and it can vary per brokers and prop firms.

No that's not what i meant. I prefer currency pairs though

Alright. I prefer indices, cause they are easy to swing. But I'm working on a solid-day trading strategy, that will make me be able to trade currencies effectively.

That's what I used on AUDUSD Sell. Was looking at buying today with entry price at 0.7056 price level, Sl at 0.7051 and TP at 0.7070, but I missed it.

Day 3 Trade summary on the Account.

I took 1 trade setup on the Account today

GBPAUD- Buys
Total number of positions- 5
Lot size- 1.0 (2 positions) 2.0(3 positions) total- 10
Total Risk- 2%
Profit Target-5%

Comment: I realized my mistake. I didn't carefully analyze the trade and determine a proper entry for it. I sighted the daily bullish channel, and the trade looked good for a buy, and I joined, without carefully looking at the intraday bias which is bearish.
After my entry, I realized I was entering from the right shoulder of a bearish Head and shoulder pattern which signalled for a Sell, not a Buy.

I didn't want to close out the trade, so I intended to add position when it sells down to the support, which it did after CPI. But because my Lot sizes where heavy, I had to tighten my risk and keep all 5 positions at max 2% risk. Eventually, the trade Hit my SL. Now It's reversing, but that's all I'll be trading on the account today.

Sticking to my trading Plan and Rule is much more important.
And one of my Core rules is once I've maxed out my positions for the day, I'm done trading for the day. (Max 5 positions per day).

There will always be a better trade Setup tomorrow. so, no need for revenge trading.

Day 3 FTMO Dashboard Summary (1)
Section 1- This section shows the Account Graph, between my equity and my balance and for today It shows I'm on a 2% drawdown on the account.

Day 3 FTMO Dashboard Summary (1b)

Still in Section 1, when the trades where in profit, the Account graph showed the Equity was up.

Observation: In some props, the line showing equity, and the one showing your account balance are usually different. The distinction usually helps to know your highest/lowest equity, before you closed your trades in profit or loss for that day, but FTMO Account graph, doesn't differentiate it, only shows one line that represents both.
With 2 lines, it usually shows your Equity Curve without running trades, but FTMO doesn't show equity curve after your trades are closed, just your balance graph.

I suggest you could try diversifying risk across asset classes

Thank you, Sir. I did that on Monday, but used a very low risk, today that I used high risk on one asset, I got stopped out.
Tomorrow I'll try medium risk across different assets.

But you kept adding to losing positions

I know I shouldn't have, but I had planned the positions. So, I just thought of giving a try.
If I had reduced the lot for the last 2 positions, would have had a bigger room for their SL, and would have covered most part of the losses for the first 3 positions.

The GBPAUD Trade Setup is still valid for buys but I'm done with it for today.
From chart 1, price has not dipped further from my SL Level at 1.90851, but created a Low, and resumed buying.
From Chart 2, I'll be looking to buy from 1.9101 if price returns to it tomorrow to rebound as a support.
